The course was a success in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 according to the participants themselves "En fantastic and unforgettable course, hard to top"as well as"the best thing I've done for myself"

Now we repeat the same course again below during the weekend of 16/6-18/6-2023, in an even more refined arrangement if possible. SGA rents our large 600 square meter house in Tavira for you and fills the days with guitarist activities. You choose from the program what you want to participate in, all or some selected lessons. We will go down together on Wednesday 17/5(those who can synchronize)and the course starts the following day and lasts for three days,(Thursday, Friday and Saturday)and we go home on Sunday 21/5.MAX 10 participants

 

The course days offer the participants a unique and exclusive opportunity to really devote themselves intensively to the guitar in a lovely mijlö, at a selectable, individual pace, you yourself participate in as much as you can/want, in addition together with like-minded nice guitar friends.

We all meet at Arlanda and go to Faro airport where a bus picks us up and takes us to the course building.

 

Every morning we start with the appreciated communal warm-up followed by:

 

- "Technique class"
That means a joint and proper technique warm-up with your guitar in the lovely morning sun outside by the pool or in one of the halls with a view of Tavira. 

- This is followed by group lessons in various forms, including large onesguitar orchestraandsmaller ensembles, eg duos/trios. You can participate in the big guitar orchestra where everyone is involved and/or in smaller duos/trios/quartets etc.

- Further offered"joint lessons"which trains, among other things, "nervousness and focus"  A popular and appreciated concept that we have been using at SGA, Östermalm since 2007.

- Individual lessonsis of course offered during the course days.
Other features during the course days can be, among other things, the form of our guitar builder who is on site showing how to build a classical guitar in the house's guitar building workshop, etc. usually have a joint dinner in the evening down at one of Tavira's restaurants for those who want. "Open stage" and the popular "after guitar" are possible on the terrace, every evening. The course can end with a joint concert in the village of Tavira!

You will of course receive sheet music for the music we will work on together during the course days in the orchestra/ensemble, sent to you in good time via post or e-mail.

Guitars can be borrowed on site for those who wish (NOTE: notify in advance)

Level:

Happy amateurs and up! You should know sheet music, but is not a requirement.
Age: Adults and pensioners. Young people are also welcome 
 

NOTE:

Children/youths must travel with/under the guardian's company and responsibility. The course house is on a hill with a nice view, and it is a little difficult to get down to town if you have difficulty walking, but of course there are taxis.

Restaurants and shops/shopping can be found in the village.
 

PRICE: 900 EURO, including VAT

ACCOMMODATION AND FLIGHTS:

Accommodation and flights are paid for yourself.

It is possible to rent rooms in the course building (FIVE bedrooms are available, some with their own shower/toilet)

Price, accommodation in the course building: SEK 3,000, including VAT
(for the entire period Wed-Sun, limited number of places. 

There is otherwise a very large selection of cheap hotels, hostels, guest houses, houses or apartments located right next to the house. There are of course better prices the earlier YOU book this.

INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE NEAREST TO OUR COURSE HOUSE:
The part circled in BLUE is the area around and around the "course building" with a maximum of 3 minutes' walk from the house, so it is a small area that largely consists of a housing association with several apartments and villas, of various sizes. That is, very close to our course building.
